NOTES (a) Wellington run 29 Oct 66 to 16 Jun 67 Auckland run 12 Nov 66 to 1 Jul 67 Christchurch run 19 Nov 66 to 8 Jul 67 Dunedin run 26 Nov 66 to 15 Jul 67 (b) the UK episodes of the second season originally screened in the ATV Midlands channels in half-hour instalments, and were later edited together into one hour episodes for foreign and subsequent screenings. (c) the date given here is for the first TV screening of the movie. The film did play at the Embassy cinema in Auckland from 23 Dec 67 to 4 Jan 68. The film later screened at several different Auckland suburban theatres throughout the 1970s (I first saw it at the Berkeley in Mission Bay in May 1976). (d) the date given here is the film's first TV broadcast. As far as I can ascertain, Thunderbird 6 has never screened in an Auckland cinema. (e) further repeats began on Sa 8 Nov 97 0600 am - presumably picking up where this fifth run left off. This 42-week run ended on 22 Aug 98, during which we can assume the remainder of the 5th TX episodes were played, and that the first 16 episodes were then repeated for a sixth time. (f) the Japanese animé series Thunderbirds 2068, which is not in any way connected to the original puppet series other than its name similarity, started on NZ television on 8 October 1983 as part if the What Now line up of Saturday morning cartoons. (g) both films have subsequently aired several times on NZ TV during the 1990s. (h) these three compilation films were screened as part of the Sci-Fi Friday line-up of movies on Ollie Olsen's After School programme. I have not noted the start times of the 1984 repeats.
