“Koi no Yakan” is really one of Anzenjitai’s greatest hits. I’ve not read on Akina’s reason for covering the song. I guess it’s must be a request made by her staffs. “Utahime 3” is a “request” album, in two senses. (1) Akina’s staffs suggested producing an all-male-artiste cover album, and (2) the staffs listed the songs that they wish Akina would cover and from there they narrowed to the final 11 numbers.
One more thing about "Utahime 3": the recording was done with a live orchestra band. It’s like a mini concert without the audiences. This really test an artiste’s musical ability. Obviously Akina is superb! That’s why I have to shout "Akina, you’re the best!" ^0^/
