HISTORY
Let's walk through Akina's life from her birth till her debut.
13 Jul 1965
Akina was born at home in Oomori, Tokyo-to, as the 3rd daughter, 5th child of Mr Nakamori Akio and Mrs Chieko. She has 2 elder sisters (Akie & Akiko), 2 elder brothers (Akihiro & Akinori) and 1 younger sister Akiho. Akina has very strong bond with her late-mother and liked to stick around her mother when she was little. (Picture = Akina at 2)
Nov 1965
The Nakamori family moved to Kiyose, a city at the outskirt of Tokyo. Akina's mother wanted her children to grow up surrounded by nature.

The financial situation of her family was quite bad. Her mother had to start work after Akina turned 3. The photo on the right = Akina at 4.

Akina started taking ballet lessons at Yokoyama Ballet School right in front of the Kiyose station. Akina's mother had to do door to door selling of electrical cookers in order to pay for her lessons. Knowing that her mother had to work really hard to pay for her lessons, Akina has not skipped a single class in her 10 years of training (from age of 4 to 14). The classic ballet lessons is a key reason for Akina's excellent stage performance.
Apr 1970
Akina started schooling at the Yurikago Nursery School.
Apr 1972
Akina started to attend the Kiyose Elementary School with her siblings. In first grade, Akina wrote in her composition that she wanted to become a singer. However, it was her mother's dream, rather than hers. Akina has always wanted to be a nanny.
1973 Akina started to cook for her family since primary 2. She would do her shopping after school at near-by grocery stores. Akina was also very active in acting and drama performance at school.

The comments were that since Akina has a baby face, she would be better off singing children songs. Akina got mad at that instance and protested, "You commented that I'm better off singing children songs. However, Star Tanjo doesn't allow contestants to sing children songs, does it?!"
