Set during the 2nd World War, Momoe played
Kiyono, a happy nad innocent girl who lived in the mountain with her family.
One day, a young fisherman, lost in the forest, wondered into their home.
The young couple fell in love and soon got married. However, their happy
marriage life was cut short, as Kiyono's husband was called to the front
line. Kiyono waited patiently for her husband's return, only to learn of
his death. Kiyono was so distraught that she jumped off the cliff.
