| The Evidence is in--President Bush wanted us in a War in the Middle East and he lied to get us there. Former President George Bush Senior's administration first took us into the Middle East, but failed to do the job. Now that his son, George W. Bush is President, is following in his father's footsteps. Almost as soon as Bush the Younger, assumed the Presidency, although you may disagree, he did take us into another unwanted war. It is documented fact that President Bush's has lied, deceived, mispresentated intelligenct reports, and created erroneous fallacies by him and his staff to force us to invade another country. To me, it is an insult to the patriot and free man, that our President, with all the intelligences and power that we have -- cannot get his facts straight, and accepted erroneous reports. How can any American trust a man who lied to us about weapons of mass destruction? The facts are on record of false clames, unresearched statement, undocumented rumors, and unsupported intelligences. The following are just a few examples of the lies and deception that brought us into invading Iraq, and how the Bush adminsitratin built their false straw-man based on fear: "If we know Saddam Hussein has danerous weapons today -- and we do -- does it make any sense for the world to wait to confront him as he grows even stronger and develops even more dangerous weapons?" -- George Bush, Speech in Cincinnati, October 7, 2002. "Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal wapons ever devised." -- George Bush, TV Address, May 17, 2003. At a press conference on May 3, 2003, President Bush at his Texas ranch told the world: "Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction." "We believe he has, in fact, reconstituted nuclear weapons." -- Vice President Richard Cheney, Meet the Press, September 14, 2003. Contradicting himself, the President goes back and forth from saying "we beleive" but then during a Polish interview on May 30, 2033 he stated: "We found the weapons of mass destruction. We found biological laboratories. . . and we'll find more weapons as time goes on. But for those who say we haven't found the banned manufacturing devices or banned weapons, we found them." "Simply stated, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass dstruction. There is no doubt he is amassing them to use against our friends, against our allies, and against us." --- Richard Cheney, speech to the VFW Convention, August 26, 2002. A few days later, Cheney repeated the same thoughts in a speech on August 29, 2002 to the Veterans of the Korean War. President Abraham Lincoln said: "I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crises. The great point is to bring the real facts." - Where are the Weapons of Mass Destruction that President Bush and his adminstration stated they were found and being amassed against the world? Simply, there were none. |

| Three years have passed, and still no such weapons have been found. After baiting, trapping and committing us to war, President Bush knew there were no weapons, so now has switched his tactics, creating yet antoher straw-man fallacy to dupe and put fear into the American people and our allies. His Administration has taken it one step farther to get American to support him in the Middle East and his excuse is now -- to go after "terrorism". That likely is an impossibility. | ||||||||||||
| It is difficult, no almost impossible to fight terrorism. There are no armies. There are no battlefields. Instead, there are small covert hidden "cell" groups or individuals that could strike anywhere, any time, and not only against American or Allied troops. How do you ever fight such an enemy. By trying to block their bank accounts? By creating the "Patriot Act", which also allows our government to illegally looking into regular citizen bank accounts, library, and illegally tap into our phones and email conversations. (Note to self: Most terrorist acts are coming from outside of the United States; shouldn't that be where the intelligence gathering and efforts should be spent?). Terrorism attacks happens in public places--where the terrorist will get the most bang for thier bucks -- where there is also media coverage. There objectives can be accomplished by a small group --duped by their leaders to attach bombs under their clothing--becoming walking sucide bombers that blow themselves up in a crowed market places. Others set-off small bombs along public streets, blowing up passing American vehicles or soldier who walk by. Others fire more sophisticated rockets into police barracks, army compounds or into public hotels or community gathering places. Terrorist do not care who they kill -- even their own people and culture. It is all for their cause. How do you fight and win such tactics and unknow forces? It is a new type of warfare! The President knew this war would last a long, long time. His actions were intentional. |

| I am sure that our President would not have been able to get us into the war in Iraq, if he came before the American people and said: "I'm going after the terrorism, and it is going to take years to do this, while thousands of our sons and daugthers will die." Or, "We are going to invade Iraq--and force them into a democratic government." Instead, government intelligent teams came up with the idea of supposed WMD, even though the United Nations and our invading forces come up negative with any such weapons. Nonetheless, the Bush Administration accepted false intelligence, which allowed the President to tell the American people there were WMD. This put the "fear" into the American people, especially after what happened on September 11, 2001. (See Terrorism 101) I am positive that if our President, would have said: "I want to go to war to fight terrorism, or to force a deomocractic government in Iraq," we would not be in Iraq today. Once again the American people are duped into another Vietnam. It makes me mad not only that our President lied, but that he insults the American people with his "bait and trap" fallacy to lure the American people's support of us to invade Iraq -- when the terrorist were know to come from other Middle East countries. |
