Origin of the
Races
Word & Scripture Study
This is a study in
answer to questions asked in a Prophecy Club some time ago and
which others ponder upon. The questions were, "where
did the different races originate as Adam and Eve were the only
ones of the races in Genesis" and....
"when was the earth divided into continents, isles,
countries. Also,
.........."how did the people get to these different places
on earth such as the remote isles where many are being found
today?"
These are questions many wonder about which have nothing to do
with our salvation
or doctrines. However, they are interesting and
involve the genealogy of the Messiah which is of importance and
other Bible truths. We do not have all the answers, but we
can find the answers in Scriptures if we take time to read the
Word of God and pray for understanding.
We are made "one new man"
in Christ when we come to him putting off the old man of sin.
These verses I wrote tells how God feels about his
children.
We are to be as "one Body"
and put aside all racial and other prejudice. Our
new heritage is in Him. We can understand our
earthly heritage as the Bible makes this plain to us.
We are all descendants of the three sons of Noah, "Ham,
Shem, and Japheth", and all go back to our first earthly
parents. Each lineage is explained in detail in
the Word because of the importance of the line of the Messiah.
We have been "grafted in" along with all who accept
Him and His plan of salvation. There are many who say
and have taught that certain races are under a curse or had a
curse placed on them which resulted in the different skin
colors. This is untrue and is not to be found in
Scripture. Curses were placed on people of any race
who were disobedient to God's laws and commands.
