Major  Scientific Achievements  

·      Developed   ferrofluid based new optical probes, tunable optical filter and a laser etching technique

·      A rating  of “EXCELLENT” for the Indo-France research program  on ferrofluid

·      Developed ferrofluid based  leak-free dynamic seal

·      Developed a colloidal force apparatus for insitu measurement of forces between nanometer sized droplets

·      Developed laser based ultrasound facility for non-destructive material characterization
