| October 5 2001 Cris calls to tell me he's got my car from customs and to go over check list. I might even get some photo's of the car from Cris next week( I hope ). I call to get insurance set up for the car, things are staring to roll ( very exciting ). October 11 2001 I receive two photo's of my car in a e-mail sent by Cris today. It's great to see my car finally. October 15 2001 I need more up to date photo's of the car ( almost complete ) for insurance company, so I call Cris and he say's he'll E-mail them to me ( it's almost finished ). I receive the photo's and the car looks great ( very exciting ). Couple more weeks and I should have it. October 28 2001 I get two photo's in a E-mail from Cris of the engine in the car ( this is a good thing ). October 29 2001 I talk to cris and he is almost finished and should be taking it out for a test drive in the next day or so. With any luck should ship this week ( I'll keep my fingers crossed ). November 2 2001 Cris has to go out of town this will delay things a little. November 10 2001 Cris calls so I can hear the engine. he still has some work to do but,getting close. November 14 2001 I get an E-mail from Cris with the final estimate ( so I can get him a check out to him so there will be no delay on my part).he also say's he'll call some time today. November 14 2001 Cris calls with good and bad news. Good news car very close to being finished but, the bad news gas tank has a leak and needs to be replaced. The tank has to ship from factory from England so we are looking at some time next week (ouch ). I will not be getting it before thanksgiving can only hope it will get here before December (just when I think we are almost there somthing else pops up). I should also be getting some more photo's in an e-mail in the next couple of days. December 17 2001 I finally got my computer up and running. A lot has happen since my last update. The gas tank has arrived and Cris has finished off the car. He test drives it for the last time and calls for shipping company to come and pick it up. The shipping company is based out of Chicago and that is where the car is and will be for the rest of the year. I just can't win. It now looks like first week of the new year?????????? December 28 2001 Just got off the phone with shipping company and they say the car should go out today some time ( they will call to confirm tonight ). Should be here in 4 to 5 days if it leaves today ( I hope , I hope , I hope ). December 29 2001 Autobahn trasportation still has not loaded the truck with my car so it's not on it's way yet ( I get the same story it will go out today ). That's the third day in a row I hear that story. I'm not liking autobahn transpotation at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! January 07 2002 yeah todays the day! The nightmare of waiting for it is over. Cris did a great job with it and I love it very much. I still have a few things to take care of but nothing to big. It is soooooooooooo much fun to drive. |
