Constitution and guidelines of the Mobile Greater Fable Zone Fleet

Some Geography

The Mobile Greater Fable Zone Fleet (MGFZF) are to be found head-quartered at the so-called Alpha Quadrant Intersector Worlder (AQIW). This is a waystation on the main route to DS9. Called by its original creators "Terok Nor," this old Cardassian mining station orbiting the planet of Bajor in the Alpha Quadrant was built in 2351 and abandoned 18 years later as the Cardassian occupation of Bajor came to a close and the Cardies retreated from the system.

Soon after, at the request of the Bajoran provisional government, Starfleet assumed command of Deep Space Nine and gave it a Starfleet designation. When the Bajoran wormhole was discovered nearby, linking the Bajoran system to the Gamma Quadrant, what had once been a backwater station became a bustling hub of commercial, scientific, and strategic significance, reflecting Bajor's new-found independence and strength within the Alpha Quadrant.

For all intents and purposes, then the following hierarchy is established. The MGFZF and budding Fable Fleet are in the chain-of-command of the United Space Federation which is loosely based on the original United Federation of Planets. Since the budding Fable Fleet has a brother in the long established Bravo fleet, now regrouped under the site of the Bravo Simulations Group, it can be said that this latter fleet is also in our loop.

There are currently 11 Articles plus Addenda in the proper Constitution of the Mobile Greater Fable Zone Fleet.

Chapter 1 :  Purposes

Article 1 :  The purposes of the MGFZF

  • To maintain a level of presence
  • To maintain a flow of exploration
  • To maintain a flow of trade of merchandise

Article 2:   In pursuit of these purposes the following principles shall be applied

  • The members of the MGFZF shall remember the importance of working at coherent relations between members with regard to order of passage and engagement when on joint missions. So the defined flow of E & T can be maintained smoothly. Power trading tasks involving joint missions will be organised on this basis.
  • Nothing within these Articles of the MGFZF shall authorise intervention in matters which are essentially the domestic concern of any zonal social system.

Chapter 2 :  Membership

Article 3

  • The original members of the MGFZF shall be those zonal ships which, have participated in the conference at the DS12 Nor Class Station in the Terminus System on date 53329.4, or having previously signed the declaration of the USF.

Chapter 3

Article 4

Any member of the MGFZF which has persistently violated the purposes and principles contained in these Articles may be expelled from the MGFZF by the Supreme Assembly upon the recommendation of the MGFZF Council (the MGFZFC).

Chapter 4

Article 5

The MZFC composed of voted-in members of the crew of MGFZF ships shall have the function and the responsibility of maintaining the oscillating currents of trade in Sub-Zone 4D and with the neighbouring zones. The seasonal variations in the quality of current shall be monitored.

Article 6

The power trading tasks and current flow associated with the MGFZF Mission Directives shall be driven by programmed (validated) and non-programmed (non-validated) action modules (The hard-soft organisation method). They can be considered separately and gradually by the multi-party MGFZF council at its committee meetings.

Chapter 5

Zonal Economic and Social Co-operation: the MGFZFC

Article 7

The levels of PTT current of the members of the MGFZF shall be alchemically separated into histograms for the purpose of the quaterly audit and the final commercial cycle reported results, which the MGFZF posts at the end of the year (December) if there is to be a Results Warning, or in Spring like most other zones if there is no significant Results Warning.

Article 8

A peak-boost results report will be given at the end of each quarter and at any time when there is a Result Imminent Announcement to be made. The presentation of the results through histograms and varied technical graphs is the norm. The announcement meeting will thus follow a Report-Presentation-Budget agenda.

Chapter 6:   MGFZFC: Technical Hardware Aided Trade Committee

Article 9

The ship clerks and crew responsible for the incoming and outgoing hot hardware are to provide a bar-code based report on the hardware installation and upgrade on their ship. This allows the MGFZF Council and the Supreme Assembly to monitor the quality of hardware in active use. A vector analysis approach is used at this level. The zonal barcode classification enhances the efficiency of this process.

Article 10

The MGFZFC tack the hardware-use reports to a time-track and join them to an e-Lcars timeline. The Pro-Vice Executive officer of the MGFZFC supervises this procedure. The MGFZFC specialises in the design and pre-manufacture stages of Deflector Technology.

Chapter 7

Article 11:   Remote PTT

PTT organisation across Widely Extended Time Zones illustrates the importance of exploration and trade in the development of method action PTT

Chapter 8 :   Addenda (Miscellaneous)

Under discussion by the MGFZFC are the elaboration and elucidation of the following directives.

  • A handicap based rating system allowing start-up un-classed or sub-basic vessels to become members of the MGFZF [Sub-Zone 4D].

  • Sounding out the problem of navigation around the trickster suck-hole Lee-Yoon. Fortunately this sub-zoner is many light-years away from the AQIW.

  • On the subject of research in the fields of work ethics and MGFZF Power Taskers' rights. The Council's objective here is to rigorously debate the issue of the intersections of the norms and institutional structures of work ethics and the voice of the unions and commercial techno-syndicates. " Dieu est ma Libert " is the motto you can read on the Council's letterhead stationery. To be up to date on one's rights and thus be able to defend them individually or as a group entity A Declaration of Universal Norms of Workplace Ethics may be useful. A subsequent International Convention designed to elaborate an encoding law on this subject is also under discussion.
