Yes, when the train gets to the bridge Iwould have
have travelled 3/8 of
the distance in the other direction putting me 6/8 of the way
across the
bridge, with only 2/8 to go. Before I was 3/8 of the way from
safety
and now I am only 2/8 from safety meaning I have time to get out
of the
way. The speed of the train is 40mph and able to cover 4x's
the amount
of distance I am in the same timespan . We have established that
I can
travel 3/8 of the distance safely. This puts me at the 6/8 point
and
the train at the 0/8 point simultaneously. In the time I move
2/8 at
10mph he will move 8/8 at 40mph just missing my tailend.
