THE GOSPEL (What's the Meaning of That Word?)

?...  Have you ever had an opponent during a game ask you the meaning of a word you just played? My usual response is something like, "We'll look it up after the game." We don't necessarily need to know the meanings of all the words we use when we play this crossword game we all love so much.

?...  Have you ever asked yourself, or someone other person (or maybe even God), about the meaning of life? Why am I here? Is there a purpose for my life? Does God really exist, and if so does He care about me? These are more important questions -- questions that deserve answers.

!...  The Bible is God's Word. It has the answers for life's toughest questions.

Did you know that... ?

a) God has a plan and purpose for you.
    John 3:16 John 10:10

b) We are separated from God by sin and cannot save ourselves.
    Romans 3:23 Ephesians 2:8-9

c) God has made a way for us -- Jesus Christ -- God's Son -- God who became a man, died on a cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and was raised from death by God.
    John 14:6 John 1:1,14 Isaiah 53:6

d) We can accept the gift of eternal life with God in Heaven by repenting of our sins and trusting in Jesus.
    Acts 3:19 Romans 6:23 John 14:3

You can receive Jesus as you Savior and have a new life. Ask a believer in Jesus Christ what it means to be a Christian. Read the Bible verses listed above and find out for yourself. Pray a prayer like the one below and really mean it.

"Lord Jesus, I realize that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. I believe that you gave your life for me to pay the penalty for my sin. I ask you to come into my life and make me what you want me to be. I turn away from my sins, and I want you to be the Lord of my life. Thank you for answering my prayer according to your Word."

If you ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior and Lord, would you contact me and let me know? It would be a great encouragement to me. Write to:

(A special note to my Jewish friends: I hope that you will thoroughly investigate the claims of Jesus Christ and the prophecies of His coming in the Scriptures. My prayer is that you will accept the truth of God's Word.)
