In addition to spiritual food regular food was important too. One of the places we ate was this really good hot dog (or perros calientes) stand.

I had a hard time finding any big signs that read "Venezuela", so on our shopping day in Caracas I decided to use the handiest thing around -- an auto tag on this Jeep.
Here is a shot of a typical hillside community in Caracas. Notice how the houses are built almost on top of each other.

Sitting on one of a half dozen picnic tables our group built is one of the pi�atas that was later destroyed by the kids at the celebration. (They did a much better job than Granny in Mickey Dean's story!)
