If you create more than one message rule in Outlook, the rules are applied to your incoming mail in the order
in which they are listed in the Rules Wizard.
For example, suppose you create a rule to move all messages with the word Sarah in the subject line to the
Sarah's Mail folder and then you create a second rule to delete any message from [email protected].
If George sends you a message with the word Sarah in the subject line, that message is moved to Sarah's Mail
folder because of the first message rule. However, if you reversed the order of the rules so that the
Delete-messages-from-George rule appears first, then the message would be deleted.
You can change the order in which rules are listed in the Rules Wizard dialog box by using the Move Up and
Move Down buttons.
To delete a rule, click the rule to select it and then click Remove.
