Thou Shalt Duplicate Files -- Just Not in the Same Location

No two files or folders can have exactly the same name. This is less of a problem than it may seem, because the entire pathname -- the name of the disk drive and the folders leading to the file's location -- is part of each file's name. You could, for example, have a file named Norway.jpg in a folder named C:\Photos1 and another file named Norway.jpg in a different folder named C:\Photos2. But you could not have two different files named Norway.jpg in the same folder. If you were to try it, Windows Explorer asks you if you want to replace the existing file if you are moving the file or want to add "Copy of" to the beginning of the filename if you are copying the file.
