JPAB`S Porsche 924 website
I acquired my first 78 porsche in May of 2002 for free from the neighbor down the road, who needed some space in his garage. Since then, I bought a 77 924 which I dismantled and put in boxes up in the attic. I added yet another 78 which has an aftermarket BAE turbo system on it.

This is the original 924 that started my newest hobby.
It was given to me by a friend of mine that lives down the street and needed to make some room in the garage. It seems he lost interest after seeing the car sit for 10 yrs. But he insists that he wanted to make room for  his 67 T-bird.

Needless to say, the car needs plenty of work after nearly  sitting for 10 yrs.

I began by getting the brakes to work again. The rear shoes were frozen to the drums and needed new wheel cylinders. I have gone through the rest of the brake system and repainted most of the components.

As for the engine, thats a whole other story and I will soon start a new page explaining in more detail what I have done and any upgrades I will or have done.

The body on the car is in relatively good shape. The original color of the car is silver.  I did have to replace the 2 front fenders due to the amount of rust in the back fender well area. (typical of the 924) There is also surface rust on other various spots, but nothing that is all the way through. There is also the typical hole in the battery box  from  battery acid that will need repairing.
Interior presently
cleaned up and repainted engine bay.
The interior is not in too bad of condition. The dash is cracked and I have a dashcover I could install, but I am opting to remove the dash, fill and sand the cracks, and then repaint it. I also have plans on replacing the carpet set. The front seats need recovering, or restitching due to the tearing at the seams The rear seat is in great shape.
I picked up a 77 924 in august of 2002 that was only good as a parts car
before
and after
Now you all know where the red fenders on the 78 came from! :)
Ok, it seems I can`t get enough! Here is the last acquisition. This is a 78 924 with an aftermarket BAE turbo setup. This car does not run and I am suspecting at worst a blown motor. It is otherwise in rough shape, but definitely resurrectable. The plans are to use the BAE turbo system in my silver 78 someday. I do not plan on letting this one suffer the same fate as the red 77.
