the last entry while Ifm in japan. Itfs sad that Ifm leaving tomorrow, even though I spent only 2 weeks back home during the xmas break, it really feels like Ifve gotten used to living in japan.@
I guess when I go home, itfll be some reverse cultural shocks though Ifm not too sure which ones Ifll experience. So Ifm gonna update everything from graduation may 22nd onwards.
the week b4 grad, it was raining constantly and I thought that kimono was out of the question but that Saturday i was lucky enuf to get sunshine the whole day and I was able t to wear a kimono. But the last time I wore a kimono was during the new years, and it was freezing. Now in may, I was boiling to death. So I got to experience the both of best worlds of wearing a kimono :) my host mother and her sister helped me with the kimono, took about 40 minutes or less to put the whole outfit together.
the graduation ceremony was quite long, 10 minutes for all the students to get the certifiticates, but the whole 1.5 hr was filled with speeches , and the speech given by the dean was the most boring. A pic of the stage with some of our flags, there was about 360 students from 40 different countries.
after that, students get a group shoot taken above from us, the the picture whill be posted in next yearfs brochures for students to look at the school and class syllabus.
herefs my 2nd host family, the oldest host brother, oldest host sister and 2nd oldest sister couldnft make it cuz of school. But I got the father, mother and the youngest kid . the suit guy doesnft count as part of that family :)
then herefs my first host family, only the mother could make it. The father works, and the 2 brothers work or probably doesnft wanna go cuz I never really talked with them much. And the suit guy and the lady on the left doesnft count, friend of the host mother
after getting our harcover books with our certificates, LIAR! Our certificate wasnft there! It was in our mailbox , but as a joke, this pic shows that i never really graduated from there.
my friend , tim , from Thailand. He got to wear a kimono from his host family, and his is more like the wedding kimono kind.
and a last shot with the school library behind me on the left with the fountain. Will miss this school with tons of stupid Japanese girls ;_;
all last week, Ifve been just packing and having fun. One of the places that I really wanna go to is USJ and kazu agreed to take me there. I never been to USJ before, not even when I was in florida a few years ago and thought that I shouldnft miss this chance in japan.
a shot of the boulevard, near the entrance
I love cookie monster! Taken b4 going into the 4D sesame street show
part of the parade and I got some close up shots of the Jurassic park dinos
after that, went to a hot springs trip in the Kyoto prefecture right by the beach. I couldnft miss any days to practice the violin since my last lesson was coming right up. Also, I need to show my violin teacher back home of my (slow) progression
this is what Ifll be seeing tomorrow on my way to the airport. Across the ocean is the kansai international airport. I still canft believe how fast the days have gone by this semester, especially after graduation. Once I go home, everything will be in slow mode cuz I have no specific plans for the summer except to travel with my mom and sister in japan and hk. Even though Ifm coming back to japan in the summer, itfs been very difficult saying goodbye to everyone.
probably once I go home, Ifll do a last entry. But I hope you all enjoyed my pictures and stories of my time in japan
