ORGANIZING K. I. 's FOR PERSUASIVE SPEECHES

      (audience is AGAINST you)

    • 1st        Strongest Argument
    • 2nd        *Weakest Argument
    • 3rd        Second strongest Argument

    •

      (audience is WITH you)

    • 1st        Second Strongest Argument
    • 2nd        *Weakest Argument
    • 3rd        Strongest Argument

*People remember the 1st and last and tend to forget what comes in the middle.

Ask the students why it is important to begin with your strongest argument
when your audience is considered a hostile audience or one
that you know is against you.

When the audience is "on your side" you should build to the
strongest argument.  Why is that important?
