Units of Study
Dialogue and Monologue Presentations
There will be 3-4 dialogue presentations
and 1 monologue presentation
The students will:

Recognize the relationship of sensory
perception, imagery, and concentration to life and acting.

Use sensory and emotional recall.

Develop and apply concentration techniques.
-
Demonstrate blocking techniques and apply
to scene study.

Practice and demonstrate the rehearsal
process.

Understand and utilize theatre terminology.
Drama and Tragedy (if there is time
in the term)
The students will:

Identify elements of drama and tragedy.
-
Compare and contrast drama and tragedy
through the study of selected major plays.
-
Most importantly, the students
will respond positively to constructive criticism.

Behavior Management
Students are to maintain 40 Give
Away
Points during the nine weeks. The teacher will reward
the students with 2 to 5 GAP’s for exceptional behavior/deeds and the student
will give the teacher 2 to 5 GAP’s for misbehavior.
