The following two poems are reflections upon the theme of World Youth Day and our Holy Father's Talks.  The theme of World Youth Day was "We have come to Worship Him".  These are the words of the Magi in Mathew's Gospel.  The first poem "Going to meet God" is about the nature of worship.  God has lowered himself so far as to become a baby, our true worship is to imitate him, by humbling ourselves before him.   "Revolution" is a refecletion on Our Holy Father's homily at the Vigil in Marienfield.  He reflected on how Jesus is the true savior of the world, and accomplished Salvation not through power, but by his death on the cross.  Thus, true change come through self giving love, through the saints, and not through power, politics, or revolutionaries.
Revolution

This world wont budge.
Im not strong enough.

weapons of mass destruction.
Are not tools of mass creation.

Guerillas.
Subversives.
Political Campaigns.
Weak. Impotent. Futile.

The world remains static.

Truth.
Dynamic.
The foundation of life.
From the Creator.
Pitching His tent on Earth.
Naked in a cave.

No mechanical means.
No firepower.
No political savy.

Nailed to a tree.
A living tree.
Giving up his Spirit.
Breathing his last.
Bringing life to a living family.

O Breath! In Me!
  For Me!
  Through Me!
  For All!

The world wont budge.
Im not weak enough.

Transform me in the likeness of the baby.

Helpless.
Helping All.

Salvation comes from a Baby.
Let the REVOLUTION begin.
Going to meet God

A dark cold field.
A bright light enters
To scatter the darkness.
To shatter the cold.

Truth. Essential.
We all seek to find it.
God. Immortal.
We all must bow to worship.
A baby. Divine.
We must bow even lower.

Transformed by the Truth of God.
The Truth is this baby.

Bowing even lower.
A limbo for the glory of God.

Change. Renewal.
In the heart of the Creator.
The heart of the baby.
