Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me a channel of Thy peace; That where there is hatred, I may bring love;
That where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness; That where there is
doubt, I may bring faith; That where there is despair, I may bring hope; That where
there is darkness, I may bring light; That where there is sadness, I may bring joy.
Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort that to be comforted, To understand than
to be understood; To love than to be loved. For it is by giving that we receive; It is by
forgiving that one is forgiven; It is by dying that one awakens to eternal life.
Surrender Prayer
Father, I abandon myself into yours hands. do with me what you will. Whatever you may
do I thank you. I am ready for all; I accept all. Let only your will be done in me and in all
your creatures - I wish no more than this O Lord.
Into your hands I commend my spirit. I offer it to you with all my heart, for I so love
you Lord and want to surrender myself into your hands without fear and with boundless
confidence for you are my Father.
