Whoa!!!
The claim that 2 Macabees is not a canonical book of Scripture is the same as saying John or
Matthew are Appocrythal. The truth is that the early Christians used various books and writings
of Scripture. There were many Gospels and many letters written back and forth. At that time all
Christians also used the books that you claim are apocrythal. No set "Bible" was created until the
council of Hippo in 393 where the church said which books were inspired and which weren't! The
Catholic Church Made the Bible. The same Books were re-afirmed in the council of Carthage in
397, and later during the council of Trent. The church existed long before the Bible was put
together and has been proclaimed the "pillar and bulwark of truth" (1 Tim 3:15) It is also the
church that has protected and guarded the true scriptures against mis-translation and
mis-interpretation. To try and agrue against the Catholic Faith from the basis of the Bible is
foolish and silly! The only way the Bible can be declared the truth is to accept the church as truth
as well!!!
It's the Bible and the Church Both or Neither!!!!
