If your JP1 remote is not cleanly learning the signal from your OEM remote, even after multiple attempts, it is likely that your OEM remote is sending out an obscure IR signal. You should do the following:
· Learn multiple keys from the OEM remote to your JP1 compatible remote.
· Download the learned commands into IR and save the file with the learned commands.
· Upload the file with the learned commands to the Diagnosis folder in the Files section of the JP1 Users Group and give it an appropriate description.
· Post a message to the Messages section of the JP1 Users Group containing the following information:
o State the device you are trying to learn, giving the brand and model if possible.
o State the JP1 remote you are using to learn the signal.
o State that the JP1 remote is note learning the signal cleanly and you can’t control your device using the learned signals.
o Explain the process you used to learn the commands from the OEM remote to the JP1 remote.
o State that you have uploaded a file containing the unworking learned commands to the Diagnostics folder and give the file name.
Once you post a message with the above information, one of the JP1 experts may be able to help you of have some ideas of what to try next.
