Once you have found an upgrade file for your device that you would like to try, you should do the following:
· Download the Remote Master program.
· Download the upgrade files that you would like to try from the ‘4. RM Device Upgrades’ folder in the Files section of the JP1 Users Group.
· Read the Readme file that comes bundled with the Remote Master program.
· Install the Remote Master program by following the instructions in the Readme file.
· Start the Remote Master program and load the upgrade file into the Remote Master program using the Open option in the File menu.
· At the top of the window, select your remote name from the Remote drop down list. If you want to, you can also change the Device Type. You can also change the Setup Code on the Setup tab if you would like.
· Review the functions assigned to each button on the Buttons tab. Make any adjustments as desired.
· Copy and paste the Device Upgrade Code on the Output tab into IR. Do the same with the Protocol Code if required.
· Change the one of the devices on the General tab in IR to reference the new Setup Code you have just loaded into IR.
· Upload the file from IR to your remote and test it.
Please note that the Remote Master program is still being developed and new functionality is always being added. That is why it is important to always read the most recent version of the Readme file included with the program. Also, there is an entirely separate group devoted specifically to the Remote Master program. If you have any questions about the program, you should feel free to look there for answers and to post any questions you have.
