PUTTING DESIGNS AND FISHES

  • Before anything else, put a handful of rock salt to the water. This is done to familiarize the fishes to the water and to avoid fishes illnesses brought about by bacteria and fungi.
  • Pour a gallant amount of anti- chlorine and methyline blue to the water to avoid fish poisoning. (or you can use the cap of the bottle and put 10 caps of these on the water)
  • You can now put your preferred designs but be sure to wash it with clean water (do not use soaps). Also, be sure not to put so many designs that will hinder your fish to swim freely.
  • Usually the fishes are sold in plastic bags with water. So before you free your fishes and put it in the aquarium, put the plastic bags with the fish inside it in the water for at least 10 minutes to familiarize the fish with the temperature of the water.
  • Then after 10 minutes, you can now free the fishes to the water.

*Fish feeding should only be three times a day. Excessive feeding may result to fish kill or blurring of water. You can feed your fishes with pellets or flakes. Now, for the variants, it depends upon the preference of your fishes.

*REMEMBER*
You can not put fishes altogether! There are some breed of fishes that do not go together. For example, gold fishes are tame fishes so they do not go along with the wild ones such as cichlids and oscars. That is why when buying fishes, you should ask for the shop personnels assistance to provide you the information that you need. Also, what you can do is to research more about the kinds of aquarium fishes so that you will know on your own what you should or should not buy. Also, remember that the larger your aquarium, the more maintenance it needs.
