    BOBCAT (Felis rufus)

The young Bobcat will leave its range of birth at 11 months and will seek out a range of its own. A bobcat mother has been known to abandon her young because of the scarcity of food for her and her kittens. Its ability to adapt to habitat and diet has made it possible for it to survive from swampland to wooded mountainsides.
