Frequently Asked Questions

The Joy of Obedience
Q.How do I know WHAT is the truth?
A. Ask the true God to show you the truth and He WILL show it to you!

Matthew 7:7 says: "Continue to ask and God will give to you, continue to search and you will find, continue to knock and the door will be open to you." [CEV]

Q. Who is God?
A. God is the Creator of all things: living and non-living. He is Perfect, Pure and Holy.

Q. What are Scriptures?
A. Scriptures are the written words of God. All Scripture is given by God and is useful for teaching and for showing people what is wrong in their lives. It is useful for correcting faults and teaching how to live right. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Q. What is sin?
A. We are born with a "want to" to sin. Sin is any violation of God's law. It is part of human nature that can not be removed by any effort of our ourselves.

Q. Who is a sinner?
A. A sinner is a person.(God made the rules)

Romans 5:12 says sin came into the world because of what one man did

Romans 3:23 says all people have sinned and fall short of God's greatness

Q. Why is sin such a bad thing?
A. Because sin keeps us apart from God. Remember God is perfect and Holy and will not even look at sin. God will not allow sin to get into Heaven.

Q. Are there any consequences for my sinful nature?
A. The Bible says that sin causes us to be eternally and forever separated from God our Creator.

Romans 5:12 says "and with sin came death, and this is why all men must die because all men have sinned" [CEV]

Q. Why don't most of us "feel" like sinners?
A. For the same reason that fish don't feel wet. We live in it and breath it. It is all around us. Just because we don't feel like a sinner does not mean that we won't suffer the consequences of it.

Q. Can we be saved from the consequences of sin?
A. Yes!

Q. What is the Bible?
A It is the account of God's actions and His efforts to mend the broken relationship with His people.

Q.Why are there so many versions of the Bible?
A. There are many versions of the Bible but there is only one Bible. Different versions of the Bible are just ways ways to help people read and understand it in the clearest and simplest words possible. The original Hebrew and Greek languages are the Word of God in the true sense. Anything else is a translation.

Q. Why did God make a plan to restore our relationship to Him?
A. Because He made us and He loves us and He wants us to be with him eternally.

Q. I do not want to take your word for it. What does the Bible say about all of this?
A. Romans 5:9-11 says: "We have been made right with God by the blood of Christs death, so through Christ we will surely be saved from God's anger. I mean that while we were God's enemies, God made friends with us through the death of his son. Surely now that we are God's friends, God will save us through his sons life. And not only that, we are also very happy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Jesus we are now friends again." [CEV]

Q. Why does all this sin talk sound so morbid?
A. God is the Creator of the world. He made the rules. He created us with the ability to have choices. We chose sin. Sin IS a very morbid thing. Since God made the rules He could choose to do anything HE DECIDED would be just and fair.
We could all have been separated from God for all of eternity or He could save us from the horrid consequences of sin.

Q. What are our choices?
We can reject God's word and be separated from God for all of eternity.
or
We can accept God's plan to save us from the consequences of sin.
Q. What is God's basic plan to save us from sin?
A. John 3:16 says:
"For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son that whoever believes in Him will have everlasting life" [CEV]

Q. God's plan doesn't seem to make any sense to me. How do I know what is really the truth?
  • A. Ask the True God to show you the truth and He will.

Matthew 7:9-11 answers that very question:
"What would you do if your son asks for bread? Which of you would give him a stone? Or if your son asks for a fish, would you give him a snake? Even though you are bad, you know how to give good gifts to your children. So surely your heavenly father will give good things to those that ask Him." [CEV]

    In closing:
Remember God knows you better then you know you. He will give you exactly what you are capable of understanding at just the right time. You only need ask.
