| chocolate bunny and spider solitaire hehehe. dragged my little sister to the berekeley slam at the starry plough. dropped come on and activist 9.11 and got first place! they concluded the night with brief words of wisdom from the third, second, and first place pep. all i could think of was, now i have gas money to go home, thanks this was a cool venue. plus 3 of the 10 audience members who actually cast their ballots for their favorite poem of the round one voted for mine and i won the chocolate bunny. i love the bay. i could hypothetically go to an open mic every night of the week up here. my sister introduced me to spider solitaire and free cell. if i'm not careful, i might develop a habit as bad as my minesweeper addiction in high school. i know that makes me a total nerd, but whatever. maybe i can understand the draw of video games. something mind numbing that distracts you from life's problems and offers you a challenge that is feasibly solvable but only causes mind brain stretchage. i'm temping, doing office work. christina also signed up with the staffing service and tomorrow we're both going to be working for the same company (first american title). everyone thinks it's super cute that they can get all three de la cruz sisters by calling one phone number. patina's up at front desk, while i'm in the back doing escrow customer service. (translation: i slump over a desk clueless about who i'm holding for or what i need from them or i circle the office in search of folders and papers filed somewhere with the laundry monster's missing socks) 062202 |
