| The Lady of the Lake, despite popular suggestion misconstrued by the Pope's henchmen in order to conceal the truth, is not actual a person, but a concept. The Lady of the Lake-- Dame du Lac-- is the governing force over all nature. It is manifested into the form of of the Golden Goddess and has been transformed over time into the most popularly accepted Lady of the Lake. She comes in play as the manifested form for the events in which the Pope believes that the Knights Templar selflessly bestowed the Holy Grail unto the Lady of the Lake!
