Discrimination
Since September 11, 2001, more than 100,000 Muslim Americans have experienced racial profiling with only 5 that were actually convicted of a crime. Muslim Americans prior to the September 11 attacks were fairly unknown and not acknowledged  by the United States for being of any significance. Not in the matter of being treated poorly, but Muslim Americans before the attacks on the United States were often disregarded especially in terms of racial profiling and national security.

However, after the allegations of the accused Osama bin Laden and Muslim terrorist organizations being involved in the worst assault against America on September 11, 2001, an outcry for justice fueled an overly obsessed desire by many Americans to seek out and find those responsible by any means. The result is the discrimination and stereotypical violence against Arab- particularly Muslim- Americans that is still in continuation today.
