Never Forget The Blessings
Every morning that I wake I have cause to praise your name.
I have another day to serve you Lord and no two are the same.
I never know what I may face when I rise up from my bed.
Certain only that I can trust in the words that you have said.
Lord, I'll never forget the blessings
that have flowed into my life.
I'll always count my blessings, even in trial or in strife.
I thank you for my family, my children and my spouse.
Help me to see the good amidst the chaos in my house.
I thank you for my home, whether it is big or small.
Help me see past the dirty clothes
and the fingerprints on the walls.
I thank you that I have a job and for those with whom I work.
Remind me of their friendship though each one has their quirks.
I thank you for my church and for those who serve you Lord.
Remind me we're not perfect. Help us work in one accord.
Lord, I'll never forget the blessings
that have flowed into my life.
I'll always count my blessings, even in trial or in strife.
But above all else I praise you Lord
for the greatest gift of all.
For allowing us the right to choose, knowing we would fall.
I thank you for the promise of heaven yet to come.
For giving me salvation by the gift of your own son.
