Many of you have heard this song and probably thought it to be secular music. The truth is it was composed during a time of persecution and so as not to identify themselves as Christians because of the enemy, they sang this song. The Christians understood the message and communicated their commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word with others of like precious faith.We sometimes forget at this season of the year what others have suffered that we may enjoy the freedom and liberty in America to publicly sing and preach His precious Word.
