| Weekend Update Xanga stinkeths! W Top 10 List of what made the HK Dragon Boat Festival Memorable: [From one of my teammates] 10. Hey, how often do you get to see 'green caps' (from speedboats) in the water. 9. The only thing more disgusting than the water - the port-o-potties 8. None of our boats had leaks 7. Other than the dragon boat, no one 'lost' her head in the water. 6. Having Namoi do her little song and dance before a race. 5. I think the boat was going straight, but who can really tell. 4. Beating out those boats full of six-foot tall men. 3. That team crossed into our lane ... again. 2. WIC coming back to the dock as one team. 1. Getting mooned by Elaine! (which i didn't see...thankfully!) ----------------------------- Adding to that... It was awesome that Women In Canoe's two teams -Blue and Orange placed in the Finals of both the 500m Mixed Race and the Women's 250m Race (meaning we had to compete against one another) and each coming in 3rd place, respectively. All in all, it was an awesome experience competing in the races - so much comraderie (sp?) and team spirit, which I never realized I could be a part of...bring on the next regatta!
