I LOVE MOVIES!
Let's go to the movies, let's go see the stars...
Do you remember which movie this song is from? Ok, I'll give it away.  It's from Annie!  The scene in which hen daddy Horback takes her to the movies.  It's always a joy and a thrill for me, no matter how many movies I watch.  The anticipation is almost as fun as watching the movie itself.

My taste in movies is varied but some stay in my mind more than others, and  I'm sure it's the same with you, too.

Among the romantic ones I remember the most "The Princess Bride", the story about undying love even in the face of death, a fantasy, really.  In fact, it starts with a grandfather reading his sick grandson the story.

Another I love very much is "
You've Got Mail", the story of two people who meet each other online.  The computer is the matchmaker of the nineties now and many people fall in love that way.

Another reason why I love this movie is because is one of many filmed in New York, the city I love.  I went to
Riverside Park today for the first time,  retracing  the steps of the characters in the movie and to see whether such places really existed.  They did! The funny thing is, the Internet helped me do that.  I followed a map downloaded from the original movie site in which are listed the various locations  where the movie was shot and that  made my search immensely easy.  I took my camera with me and took pictures at each location, using up three rolls of film.  Yes, photography is my passion and any excuse to take pictures is too good to pass up.

I had so much fun! And the day was glorious.  Sunny and warm.
