Tony

Rabalao

Tony was born in South Africa.  When Tony was two years old, his parents made the difficult decision to leave Africa and start a new life in Canada. Tony started playing drums at a young age and was self-taught for the first twelve years or so. After high school and a year of commerce at Carleton University, Tony moved to Toronto to study jazz and composition. It was a great experience, being surrounded by all kinds of music, and all kinds of musicians, 24/7. He grew up listening to everything; rock, pop, prog-rock, metal, Motown, r&b, funk, soul, jazz, classical, and township jive. "Music, to me, is all about expression and if it's good, it will move, inspire and or empower, so I leave myself open and receptive."
