DAY TWO Tuesday, June 12, 2001
John's folks checked out our motel room after a nice visit with John. They thought the room was PRETTY comfy! I don't think they wanted to leave! :-)
John was pretty out of it the day after his surgery...but not too much to give his mommy a hello kiss. He kept falling asleep mid-sentence, but his coloring was REALLY good. He slept most of the day. He did not remember much of yesterday, he said.
The nursing staff did not allow him to be uncomfortable. The pain was managed very well. Sutter Medical Center ROCKS! Below are nurses attending to John. They are helping him manage his pain and checking his vitals! :-) Great staff!
DAY THREE Wednesday, June 13, 2001
John looked GREAT today! I brought him flowers, but he is allergic to them. I am going to give them to the fantastic lady who set us up in our GREAT motel room. Her name is Suzy and she works at the Larkspur Landing Motel in Roseville. She's awesome! We got a hug on our arrival...we've been getting lots of hugs....hugs are good things!!
For those of you reading this who will be coming to the Sutter Medical Center in Roseville, CA for your surgery, it is only four years old, and is so clean and beautiful. Here is what the TV looks like...all the controls are on the bed, built in. Really NICE rooms!
Flowers sitting OUTSIDE of John's room! :-)
John thought he was Superman today! He walked about 4 times!! His gas dissolved and he felt pretty darn good. It took me 2 weeks to feel as good as John feels today on day 3.
WARNING! Below is a picture of John's tummy on day three...if it would bother you.... DON'T LOOK!
I don't think it looks bad. Sure looks a LOT better than my seeping incision did! Ahhhh...tomorrow is another day...will he come "home" or not???
