As hard as I have triedand I could type a list of diets, programs and promises I have made over the last 43 years, I have not been able to conquer this battle. I was chubby as a small child, but stayed muscular and only a bit chubby as a teen. That probably had a lot to do with enjoying playing sports in high school AND the diet pills mom had doctors prescribe that helped me a lot in those days. Ive lost 40 pounds here and 30 pounds there through the years, only to regain them back very slowly plus a few more. I have not weighed under 200 pounds since having my last child in 1970. According to the charts, for my height and muscular build, 141 is my ideal weight. I am now 120 pounds OVER that weight, I am physically miserable and have ailments that are common for people who are labeled Morbidly Obese.
MORBID OBESITY is when you are dangerously heavy for your height/frame. It is categorized as being 100 or more pounds overweight, and there are many, many health issues involved. To name a few: diabetes, high blood pressure, heart damage, joint disease, acid reflux, sleep problems, incontinence, and not surprisinglyof course, depression.
Anyone who's Body Mass Index (BMI) is over 40 is considered "Morbidly Obese." Mine is 47 Wanna get depressed? |
