On July 7, 2001, The Great Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles, California hosted the Xtreme Professional Wrestling (XPW, for short) "Rapture" supercard. The fourth match of the night pitted Lizzy Borden, a member of The Black Army (an XPW heel stable) and the wife of XPW's Owner (Rob Black) against a former-WCW valet (for the M.I.A. [Misfits In Action]). The match was obviously not going to be the next coming of Flair/Steamboat, as both women were not trained wrestlers and were competing for the sole purpose that the XPW fans in attendance received a dose of T&A (tits and asses) for their show.
Major Gunns made her entrance first, while Lizzy entered second. After Lizzy said some words over the microphone, the match began and, early in, Gunns tackled Lizzy down and what followed was the typical catfight, featuring both chicks rolling around, pulling eachother's hair, slapping eachother's faces, and spanking eachother's behinds. Suddenly, while both were rolling around on the mat, a Japanese woman later revealed to be known as, "Aki," entered into the ring and started beating on Gunns. Aki started assaulting Gunns as XPW Owner Rob Black got onto the microphone and said that that's why he's Rob Black: "Did you (referring to the crowd) think I'd keep my wife alone in the ring?" Black insisted that all that Major Gunns is (was) is (was) a whore. Meanwhile, Aki, apparently the newest Black Army member, Aki, continued beating down Gunns until...
Suddenly, the familiar hard rock tunes of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" hit and, after and backstage camera's caught The Sandman, a former-five-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion, just a few seconds before he walked through the entranceway curtain. When he did, XPW fans, who had been anticipating his appearance since the moment his theme music hit, erupted into cheers and chanted along to what World of Wrestling (WOW) Magazine rated as the best wrestler theme music in their 2001 year-end awards. Sandman didn't hesitate to walk down the ring apron. He circled the ringside area and sent several Black Army members down to the concrete with vicious shots with his trademark singapore cane, which he was carrying.
Sandman eventually rolled into the ring under the bottom rope. Aki, who had stopped beating down Gunns, came over just a few feet from "The Hardcore Icon" and just begged him to give her his best shot. He did, and she immediately hit the ring mat hard after being bashed across the face with Sandman's trademark singapore cane. Sandman looked out at the crowd for a few moments before lifting Aki back up to her feet and then pushing her back down with his bare hands. Sandman then raised his singapore cane high in the air for all of the fans to see, saluting all the XPW crowd. As Aki was trying to crawl back to her feet, he again bashed her with the singapore cane (this time across the back), sending her down to the mat for the timebeing. He did the same to a few other Black Army members who had also come down.
With The Black Army down and out, Sandman lifted Major Gunns, who had been being beaten up by Aki, up to her feet and poured a Budweiser beer can all over her, soaking her in it!
After a brief, 15-minute intermission, the show continued and Sandman, accompanied to the ring by not only the sounds of Metallica's "Enter Sandman," but also by the beautiful Major Gunns (who was carrying a singapore cane and wearing a red, white, and blue bikini), came to the ring carrying a red ladder, which he layed against the corner turnbuckle. Sandman got onto the mic and made a challenge to XPW's Owner: "Rob Black - you wanna' screw with this woman (referring to Major Gunns)? You're wrong! I'm the new sheriff in town!" Sandman calls out Black, but instead, the theme music of another former-ECW'er, that being the colossal "Vicious" Vic Grimes, hits, and Grimes, another Black Army member, came out to the ring. The fifth match of the night will pit two hardcore ECW alums against eachother!
Grimes walked down the entrance ramp and, as soon as he rolled into the ring, Sandman delivered a stomp to him and then whipped him into the corner, sending him slamming into the ladder that was leaning up against the turnbuckle. The two eventually brawl to the outside ring area, which is where Sandman bodyslams Grimes onto the steel guardrail. They eventually travel back into the ring and Sandman suplexes Grimes onto the guardrail, which they've brought into the ring. Grimes gains control by pulling Sandman off of one of the ladder rungs and low blowing him on his (Sandman's) downward descent. Grimes bodyslams Sandman onto the guardrail, and then sets up the ladder and starts climbing it. Sandman, though, recovers and yanks him off, ramming him down onto the guardrail that's now in the ring.
Sandman, now in control, climbs out onto the ring apron and suplexes Grimes (who's still in the ring) out of the ring and through a guardrail that's serving as a bridge. Sandman brings Grimes back into the ring, lays him down on the mat, and places a guardrail on top of him. Sandman climbs to the top-rope, leaps off, and lands a somersault senton (diving senton bomb), sandwiching Grimes between the rail and the mat! Sandman covers him and the referee counts the 1-2-3. Sandman has made a successful XPW debut by pinning Vic Grimes!
After the match, Sandman goes into the crowd and celebrates his win with a beer like only he can. He and Major Gunns then walk up the entrance ramp and go back to the lockerrooms.
The main event that night saw former-WCW World Tag Team Champion Vampiro challenge Black Army member and then-XPW Champion The Messiah for the XPW World Heavyweight Title. Early in the match, former-ECW World Heavyweight Champion Sabu ran out and turned the match into a three-way bout, resuming his rivalry with The Messiah. Towards the end of the match, Sabu injured his chin and busted his nose open, so he wrapped athletic tape around his lower face and covered the nose. In the end, Messiah hit a flying leg drop and got the 1-2-3 pinfall to retain his title. After the match, Vampiro went back to the lockerrooms, but Sabu wasn't as lucky, as he was attacked by Messiah. Messiah handcuffs Sabu to the turnbuckle and starts beating on him along with some other Black Army members until...
Metallica's "Enter Sandman" hits for the third time that night and The Sandman, with his singapore cane in hand, comes out to the ring and makes the save. Messiah charges him and is floored with a singapore cane shot, and soon after, Rob Black finds himself in a dangerous situation. He sits down on the mat and begs Sandman to have mercy, but "The Hardcore Icon" wants none of it, as he nails Black across the face with another vicious singapore cane shot. As Black was about to climb back to his feet, he received several punches, again sending him down to the mat. After Sandman clears the ring, Sabu, whose escaped out of the handcuffs by now, throws a steel chair at Sandman, and it hits him in the head! Sandman turns toward Sabu and it looks like the two former-ECW rivals are going to go at it, but they instead share a beer as the XPW Rapture comes to the ring.
