POGO the CLOWN vs. STEVE RIZZONO
While Pogo had not won the match, XPW continued to hype him as being undefeated because he was not pinned by Supreme; Rizzono had been pinned by Supreme. Not only was Pogo not pinned, but going into the match, Supreme wasn't scheduled to compete. So, for those reasons, XPW continued to hype Pogo as being undefeated.
Rizzono, meanwhile, was far from being undefeated.
At XPW Halloween In Hell 2 (which can be viewed in full on the XPW home video entitled, "Blown To Hell") on October 13, 2002, Pogo and Rizzono battled for the first time since earlier that same year. The match actually came about when Rizzono confronted XPW Executive V.P. Kevin Kleinrock backstage during the show. He asked Kevin who his opponent was for that night. Kevin told Rizzono that he'd be facing Pogo the Clown, which Rizzono seemed to be fine with, until it suddenly kicked in that he'd be facing the goliath. Rizzono ran and caught up to Kevin, who he yelled at and begged to give him a new opponent. Kevin, though, said that Veronica Caine had requested that for Pogo to be Rizzono's opponent that night. Rizzono barged into the Enterprise lockerroom and informed G.Q. Money, Kaos, T.J. Rush, and Veronica that his opponent was Pogo. However, he received no consolation of any sort from them, as they yelled at him and told him that they had something more important to deal with - Kaos would have to defend his TV title against New Jack later int he night.
So, later that night, Veronica Caine and T.J. Rush accompanied Rizzono to the ring. Early in, Rizzono is able to keep the match in his favor, and while Pogo gets in a few shots on occasion, Rizzono keeps the goliath at bay by delivering various strikes (chops, chest slaps, punches, etc.) during the bout's early stages. However, once he does find an opening, Pogo charges out of the corner and floors Rizzono with a massive lariat. Both men then take a brief breather for a few moments, but before Pogo has a chance to lift Rizzono back up, T.J. Rush enters the ring and attacks the big man from behind, sending him down to the mat. T.J. and Rizzono begin repeatedly stomping on the Pogo's limp body, and for the next few minutes, T.J. and Rizzono continue beating down on Pogo, including dropping the big man with two double suplexes.
However, when the two attempt to squash Pogo's brains in with a con-chair-to, the big guy ducks and punches each of the chairs, sending them into the faces of each of his foes. With her two allies down, Veronica Caine climbs up onto the apron and manages to distract Pogo long enough for Rizzono to recover, sneak up, and low blow him from behind. Caine climbs back down to ringside as Rizzono hits Pogo with his finisher, The One Night Stand (Inverted Facelock into Leg-Back Head Driver [Inverted Fameasser/Leg Drop Takedown]). Pogo, though, plays up his monster persona and kicks out at 1. Rizzono lifts him up and delivers a One Night Stnad, but that receives another 1 count.
