CHILDHOOD / SCHOOLING:

Born on 4/3/69 in Sarnia, Otario, Canada and grew up in Sarnia, Ontario...Good student and talented athlete...As a child, was a big Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) fan...Attended Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, enrolling in honors business program and playing volleyball for one and a half-years there as a member of the Golden Hawks...

TRAINING / EARLY CAREER:

Traveled to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 7/90 and enrolled in the Hart Brothers Pro Wrestling Camp, where he met lifelong friend Chris Jericho...Debuted on 10/2/90 in the CWA, going to a 15-minute time limit draw w/ Jericho; Later that same night, Storm won an elimination battle royal...Wrestled in several promotions throughout the world, including in Austria, Germany, Lebanon (in May '93), and in Japan, where he wrestled in FMW as a tag team with Jericho (as "Sudden Impact")...Joined Smoky Mountain Wrestling (SMW) in '94, where he teamed w/ Jericho as "The Thrillseekers" throughout most of '94. The team's highlight came on 8/5/94 when they beat The Heavenly Bodies (Jericho wrestled w/ a broken arm, which he had suffered earlier that same day)...Jericho and Storm both left SMW...Wrestled in Canada, Germany [in the CWA (in 9/95)], and then WAR (in Japan)...Worked w/ WAR for 2 1/2 years, twice winning the WAR I.G. Tag Team Titles w/ Yuji Yasuraoka...Soon received a phone call from ECW Owner Paul E. Heyman and quickly debuted in ECW in 1997, surprising the crowd by defeating Balls Mahoney...Made his pay-per-view debut at ECW's own premiere PPV, "Barely Legal," on 4/13/97, losing to Rob Van Dam in a great match...Became engaged in a feud w/ Chris Candido, w/ the two facing off at HeatWave '98 (Candido won)
