He didn't work a match on that show, but served as one of the jobbers who ran into the ring and tried to attack the late Big Dick Dudley after Dudley's match vs. Damien Steele, only to get demolished with by the colossal giant via Chokeslams and Total Penetrations.

The very next night (August 1) Kaos made his in-ring debut in XPW - the company that he'd end up becoming the vital backbone of about two years later. However, instead of wrestling in a preliminary undercard match, as one would probably expect, Kaos served as the opponent of future-XPW World Heavyweight Champion "The Real Deal" Damien Steele in the night's main event. Steele - who was attacked by Big Dick Dudley after the bout eventually pinned Kaos for the win that night, but Kaos, though, wouldn't remain a jobber in XPW. In his next match in XPW, (on September 24), Kaos again did the job for his opponent, who in this case was former-WCW and international talent Michael Modest, but the match turned several of the fan's heads and Kaos didn't go unnoticed.

Finally, the next night at the show later entitled, "Banned In Ventura," Kaos gained his first win in XPW, pinning another jobber, Shooting Star, after hitting a Kaos Driver. Kaos again won on October 29, this time over Cybil via pinfall at Halloween In Hell. Kaos did the job on November 20 on the first night of the November To Dismember Tour by losing to Damien Steele in a rematch of their 8/1 bout (only this time for the XPW World Heavyweight Title), but by being the first in line for a shot at Steele's belt, Kaos did earn the notable distinction of being the first challenger for the world title in XPW history. On November 27 on the second night of the November To Dismember Tour, Kaos bounced back from the loss to Steele by gaining a vital victory in a solid three-way elimination match that also included Michael Modest and Phenominal Phil.

Kaos dropped another bout on December 17 on the first night of the Merry X-Mas Tour, this time to Supreme. Although the two produced a quite solid overall contest, for some reason, the bout is generally forgotten among XPW fans. Supreme pinned Kaos that night aftert Superbombing him through a table two chairs set up on top of it. Kaos once again jobbed the very next night on night two of the Merry X-Mas Tour, this time to "The Tall Cool One" Jake Lawless.

GSCW Proving Grounds II (3/29/03; American Legion Hall Post 507; New Hall, CA [So-Cal]): First thing, GQ Money and Veronica Caine came out much to the crowds suprise to introduce the Rock Superstar Kaos where Kaos proclaimed he wanted bigger things for himself and that he was there to prove himself. The Messiah ran in and stiffly punched GQ and scared the others from the ring before berating the E, calling Kaos a "former friend," saying that "This isn't Messiah talking, this is William Welch talking," and accusing him of possibly having something to do in the assault that cost him his thumb.
