wXw "Night of the Hero's"
2003-10-04
Roxy Club (115-130 Fans)
Essen, Germany
Dark Match:
Destructo b. Adam Polak (6:29) with a power bomb
"Legendary" Thomas Blade b. "Famous" Louis
van Eden (7:48) with a Diving Headbutt
Mot & Bas van Kunder b. Tyrant & Darksoul (~12:00) via
pinfall
wXw Hardcore Title Match - Three Way Dance, Tables Match:
Thumbtack Jack© b. "Dark Slayer" Steve Douglas &
Alex Pain (7:42)
- First Highlight of the show. In the ppast wXw Hardcore Titles
matches were always bloody with lots of glass and barbed wire.
This was more a sick spot fests. Steve Douglas was an unannounced
surprise wrestler and had a great debut. His valet Shadow was put
trough a table by TJ with a runnign Death Valley Driver after she
put him down with a top rope Hurracarana. The finish saw Alex
Pain doing a power bomb against TJ who was doing a superplex
against Douglas at the same time. Douglas went trough the table
and Pain was very angry. Afterwards AP did a top rope side effect
against Thumbtack Jack!
Mad Cow b. Gay Warrior (5:42) with the BSE
- Gay Warrior is a great comedy gimmickk
- Intermission
wXw Cruiserweight Title #1 Contender Match:
"Wonderkid" Jonny Storm b. X-Dream (10:10)
- damn, this was so fast. It was 2:2 inn their match series before
but Jonny could never beat X-Dream in wXw. Both debuted new
outfits and Jonny turned face before. Easily their best encouter
yet but they could do even better I think. X-Dream is the only
one in wrestling who could step in the place of Jody Fleisch I
could think of at the moment. He is so agile and smooth!
Birchall b. Double C (21:08) with a Standing Spanish Fly
- OH MY GOD! Birchall can wrestle! Chaiin Wrestling for over 15
minutes - great heavyweight match! Double C proved one more that
he may be one of the top wrestlers in europe right now.
wXw World Heavyweight Title Match:
Chris Hero© b. Ares (27:49) with the Hangman's Clutch
- before the match when Hero was in thee ring (I don't have to say
the Roxy exploded at his entrance?!) Salvatore Bellomo (WWF 80ies
Star) entered the ring with a World X-treme Wrestling T-Shirt. He
said there won't take be a wXw World Heavyweigth Title match
tonigth because Afa owns the name of WXW and want the promotion
to change the name. He offers anyone to join Afas WXW right now
but only the fuckin dutch wrestlers agreed. Team wXw trough
Bellomo out of the building. Now the fans were hot for the main
event and Thomas Gießen put on a announcement that would make
Michael Buffer proud to make it even more special. And then it
was on! I can't describe this match. It had everything, from old
school european wrestling, lucha (Ares was flying with his 230
pounds like a lucha!), hard hitting wrestling and one hell of an
exiting finish. The crowd was VERY loud espcially for the
thousands of nearfalls. Ares kicked out of the Hero's Welcome,
two Rolling Hero Welcome's, the Hangmans Clutch and even the
first time ever STANDING Hangman's Clutch. Both exchanged lariats
and german suplex and gave their all! Ares didn't more and wanted
to hit Hero with the title belt but Chris ducks down and killed
Ares with a standing Yakuza Kick and put him in the cross legged
Hangman's Clutch. After 20 seconds Ares coudn't do any other then
submit. A FUCKIN CLASSIC! After the Match Hero said that this one
of his toughest matches of his five year career and it was that
one with the loudest fans! You have to see this! You can you be
glad it will be avaiable at Smartmark Video soon.
Next show will be on November 29th with Mike Quackenbush
defending his wXw Cruiserweight Title!
