We try to leave our babies with their parents for as long as we possibly can. They are then moved by clutches into our darkened brooders to simulate a nesting cavity. We make our babies as content and comfortable as possible at this time, without overstimulating them because we feel that overstimulation at this time would lead to a nervous, insecure baby. |

The babies are weaned onto a varied diet, consisting of Pretty Bird African pellets, and a combination of grains, legumes, seeds and beans with fresh vegetables & fruits. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
We also allow our babies full flight until it is time to leave our aviary because we feel they maintain a confidence that only flighted birds command this way. |

Our birds have a pelleted diet in front of them at all times, and are taught to drink from water bottles which are sterilized regularly. We find that we can prevent many problems by not allowing them to play and defecate in their water source. |

All of the birds shown on this site are either owned or raised by us. While our photography may not be the best, we still wanted to use only our own birds and their offspring so should you decide to purchase one of our babies you would know exactly what to expect. As you can also see many of these birds are both companions and breeding partners! We feel by providing such an atmosphere we produce a more well rounded life for our flock and their babies. |
