November Prayer Letter

November 2005

Dear praying friend,

Thank you for praying for my work here in Taiwan. I continue to live in the same place I have for 13 years but travel all over Taiwan to preach for various churches and give seminars. A special part of my ministry is speaking for youth groups.

For example, last weekend I rode the train to the east coast of Taiwan and taught a four-hour class on Saturday afternoon on Bible interpretation. On Sunday, I taught the adult Sunday school class and preached in the morning service. Then, in the afternoon I went with the church people to a veterans' nursing home to preach a gospel message to the men there. On Monday, I rode the train six hours home again.

In my September letter I mentioned Mr. Wang who had trusted Christ only days before I wrote the letter. Now, after only a month I am happy to say he has continued to come to church and to work through discipleship materials I have given him. What is great is the attention that people at our church have given him since I am usually not able to attend our church's Sunday services.

I am very thankful for the opportunities I had to speak at the international conference held near our city. I was especially glad to be able to present a workshop on music, and the next week a pastor in Taiwan called to get 120 of my music CDs. It thrills me that I have already reached the goal of duplicating (legally) 10,000 music CDs for East Asia. Already the earlier CDs I have duplicated have made it to countries like Mongolia, Japan, Indonesia, and Myanmar.

Please continue to pray for me as I prepare for Christmas (the best time to witness in Taiwan), and as I prepare to go to Singapore again at Chinese New Year's (Jan 29).

If you haven't signed up for my email prayer letter, please do so. Please email me at [email protected] for information.

Please rejoice and pray about

  1. Iinerant ministry
  2. Recent Taitung seminar
  3. Mr. Wang (new believer)
  4. Music CDs going throughout East Asia
  5. Future plans

Resting in the warm grip of God's powerful hand,

Mark Lehman
