Conversations from the Write On Chronicles
Part 2 - Brainstorm
- Hello.
* Hi, it's me. How was your day?
- Good, and yours?
* Well, bible study was confusing.
- You say that every week. What's the deal?
* It's a trip when someone reads a scripture, there are so many bible versions that is's hard to follow along.
- I know. That was the first indication to me of the error in today's churches.
* Right. When I take a college class, everyone has the same textbook Why can't the churches understand all these versions doesn't work?
- Gurl, those moneychangers are back up in there. In fact, most churches sell fake bibles in their gift shops. Mo' money, mo' money.
* They are helping to spread the confusion. There is no way for us to be in one accord when no one has the same bible in a study group.
- Before when I read a fake bible, it didn't linger with me. The King James Version (KJV) is real and stirs my soul. It's hard to explain.
* I've had a problem finding a bible I can understand, and now I have too many to count. Nothing compares to the KJV.
- It's really quite sad. Some people will buy a bible from anyone off the street. I'm sticking with the tried and true.
* The KJV has it's own sound and flows, huh?
- Yeah, like honey.
