Rumsfeld has to be the sole happy Republican right now. The Foley fiasco has taken the spotlight off people calling for Rummy's firing/resignation. How ironic it is that Foley was a member of the House committee to legislate protection from predators like himself. His attorney announcing that Foley is gay bugged me. It seemed to insinuate that predators are generally gay. That fact is that most child predators are heterosexual. The other thing that bugs me is that the Republicans are more concerned with maintaining their power rather than protecting children. It says a lot about how broken our government is. I can only hope that next month's elections send a message to the crooks who govern us. But, will the Democrats do any better? I certainly hope so.
