I'm proud of my mom for being such a trooper. Tuesday, I offered to take them to their appointment at the Pocatello VA clinic. Mom said she would be fine to drive them and she was. She gets mad at dad because he tells her how to drive. She's got me and my brothers to vent to though and she does.

They put dad on Aricept for his dementia. We're hoping it helps him as well as my mom. It's sometimes a helpless feeling knowing that there isn't much we can do but be there for them.

Dr. Seuss nailed it when he said, "Adults are obsolete children."
