It was a perfect first day of summer here. No wind and moderate temperatures. It was a great golf day. The weekend is looking even warmer and better. I can't wait.

I got news that my best friend's southern redneck married boyfriend will be flying here a week from today. He's planning to stay a week and then they are planning to fly back to NC, pack some of his things and drive back. I've met the guy. All I can say if she's happy with him, then good. He hates queers, niggers and a bunch of other stuff. He flies the Confederate flag, too. Hmmm...

And why the hell do our troops get charged with murder when they are fighting a war? Call me stupid, naive or whatever but, aren't we in a WAR against people who hate us? The enemy plays by no rules but we have to? What the hell is wrong with that picture? Those kids spend every minute of their lives in fear of being killed, captured, tortured,beheaded, blown up by a roadside bomb, an RPG or some other savage means of destruction. Yet, they have to play by the rules? Screw the rules. As far as I'm concerned, there are no innocent ragheads. Good God, our crooked president and his posse put these kids in harm's way for no other reason but their own (and their big money buddies') selfishness and lies. I am all for my kid and the rest of them to shoot first and ask questions later. I'm sure I sound jaded and maybe I am.
