What a nice change in the weather it is today. For the first time in weeks, I have my windows open. The air conditioning isn't running and the house is cool. My wind chimes are chiming. The dust and smoke have cleared out of the air. Last week, they chopped the grain in the fields around my house. The dust combined with the heat and smoke from the fires was awful. There are even a few sprinkles of rain this afternoon. I'm loving the change. I'm certainly not ready for winter but...there has to be something between nearly 100 degrees and zero. In Idaho though, it all makes sense. Everything here seems to be extreme in one direction or the other...
