Back On the Shelf
This is the space where I unload whatever thoughts pass through my head. It may or may not be often that I post.
high school sweethearts

Last Saturday night was one of the first long conversations I've had in many years with my first and main high school love. Gary and I spent much time together going between our dysfunctional Mormon homes and fighting parents. We got laughing about going to the drive-in movies in his mom's big Cadillac with her three yippy poodles along with us. They'd perch on top of the front seat and wait for treats. I don't think they got what they wanted. (wink) It certainly beat sitting home with the folks.

He's a married grandpa of three who lives just outside of town. We see each other often but don't get a chance to reminisce. We had some great times together. We laughed about the day we had his sister's Chevy and were driving down Main Street. His sister pulled up alongside us at the one stoplight and jumped in the driver's seat. She pushed him over and took over the wheel. She was wearing this ugly wig. He was pissed at her so he grabbed her wig and tossed it out the window! I thought I'd lose it laughing at the whole thing. She yelled at me for laughing and tore into him. We walked back to his house with sore sides from laughing so hard. It was another classic Rigby moment.
