I am a fool for Animal Planet programs. I recently watched a show called "White House Pets." It was touching. FDR and his Falla were so cute together. I choked up when they showed Barbara Bush's dog named Millie (she was also a best-selling author) and her puppies. Millie and my Whoopi resembled one another and had their puppies at about the same time. The puppy Bush1 was holding looked just like our Boogerdog. What fond memories it brought to mind. Watching the kids and dogs frolicking in the backyard are among my dearest memories. I didn't realize at that time that those were the simplest and happiest days of my life. Even if the day comes that I can't remember my own name (or anyone else's), I'll never forget revelling in my kids' and dogs' joy.

I must add that the photo here was taken in late 1994. I'm not sure who that woman is but I certainly know the dogs. Oh, how I loved those dogs. Always will.
